Day 2: Sigiriya / Pidurangala / Dambulla Cave Temple / Sigiriya
After an early breakfast, proceed to climb Pidurangala Rock, one of Sri Lanka's most rewarding hiking experiences. Rising approximately 200 metres above the surrounding plains, Pidurangala is a historic rock formation closely linked to the ancient monastery that dates back over 2,000 years. The trek takes you through forested pathways, ancient temple grounds, and fascinating rock formations before reaching the summit. From the top, enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of the Cultural Triangle, lush forests, reservoirs, and the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress standing majestically in the distance. Renowned as one of the best viewpoints in Sri Lanka, Pidurangala offers a memorable blend of history, nature, and breathtaking scenery. Afterwards, visit the Dambulla cave temple. Located in the north-central province, this UNESCO World Heritage Site which dates back to the 01st century BC, is an amazing complex of 05 caves, first used as a refuge by an ancient king who on regaining his throne, commissioned magnificent carved images within the living rock. Later kings made further improvements, and the caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is a colossal figure spanning 15 meters. C. Sigiriya VR Experience Before visiting Sigiriya Rock Fortress the following morning, immerse yourself in the Sigiriya VR Experience, a unique journey back to the 5th century during the reign of King Kashyapa. Through state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, witness the ancient rock fortress as it once stood, complete with its royal palace, magnificent frescoes, landscaped gardens, and sophisticated water systems. This captivating experience offers valuable historical context and brings the lost splendour of Sigiriya to life, enhancing your appreciation of the UNESCO World Heritage Site before exploring it in person.

Day 3: Sigiriya / Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Hiriwadunna Village Trek / Avukana Buddha Statue / Sigiriya
After an early breakfast or packed breakfast, proceed to visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress by 06.00 am. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, serves as a fine example of ancient urban planning. Sigiriya is a significant site of the Cultural Triangle and perhaps Sri Lanka's most iconic historical destination. The site, also known as Lion Rock, is recognised all over the world for the remains of the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress and its numerous enchanting and well-preserved attractions. The complex hydraulic system at the fortress enhances the sites reputation as a beautiful example of classical city planning. The fortress complex, constructed in the 5th century, includes attractions such as the royal gardens, one of the oldest landscaped gardens in the world, and the Mirror Wall, which is adorned with ancient graffiti. The highlight of the fortress is the colourful frescoes painted on the western face of the rock; it is believed that there were initially 500 such frescoes, but merely around 22 of them remain today. Afterwards, visit Hiriwadunna, a charming village that offers a true glimpse of rural Sri Lankan life. Begin with a gentle walk along village paths, past traditional homes, and across the ancient tank (reservoir) bund, surrounded by lush greenery. Cross a small jungle stream by catamaran to visit a local farmers wattle and-daub home, where you can experience everyday village life. Continue through vegetable gardens and hop on a bullock cart for a scenic ride through paddy fields and jungle trails, immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and rhythms of this authentic village. After this memorable experience, return to your hotel and relax. Afterwards, proceed to visit the Avukana Buddha Statue, one of Sri Lankas finest and most impressive ancient stone sculptures. Standing at nearly 12 metres in height, this magnificent granite statue dates back to the 5th century and is believed to have been commissioned during the reign of King Dhatus Ena. Carved from a single rock face, the statue showcases remarkable craftsmanship and depicts the Buddha in the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture symbolising protection and reassurance. Surrounded by a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, the Avukana Buddha Statue is a significant cultural and religious landmark, offering visitors a glimpse into Sri Lankas rich Buddhist heritage and artistic excellence. After completion return to the hotel and relax.

Day 4: Sigiriya / Matale / Kandy City + Temple of the Tooth / Kandy
After breakfast transfer to Kandy.
En route, visit a spice garden in Matale, where you will be introduced to Sri Lankas rich heritage of spices and Ayurveda. Walk through lush plantations of cinnamon, pepper, cloves, cardamom, and nutmeg while learning about their cultivation, medicinal uses, and role in traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. Upon arrival in Kandy, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankan as Kanda Uda Rata, which means the hill country. Kandy was home to Sri Lanka's last independent Kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British at the beginning of the nineteenth century. also visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important Buddhist sites in the world. This revered temple houses the relic of the tooth of Lord Buddha and is a place of deep spiritual significance. Experience the serene atmosphere as devotees gather for daily rituals.

Day 5: Kandy / Ambuluwawa / Tea Factory / Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, proceed to visit Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Complex, a unique multi-religious and biodiversity sanctuary situated atop Ambuluwawa Mountain. Day 6: Nuwara Eliya / Ambewela - Ella (Train Ride) / Ella

Day 7: Ella Sightseeing / Little Adam’s Peak / Nine Arch / Ella
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Ella, a charming hill country town renowned for its breathtaking mountain scenery, lush tea plantations, and cool climate. Continue to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, a magnificent colonial-era railway bridge constructed entirely of stone, brick, and cement. Nestled amidst dense jungle and tea estates, this architectural masterpiece is one of Sri Lanka's most photographed landmarks and offers excellent opportunities for sightseeing and photography.

Day 8: Ella / Yala
After breakfast, transfer to Yala.
Once in Yala proceed to do a jeep safari at Yala National Park. Yala Sri Lanka's most known National Park is popular for elephants, Leopard, Bear, Crocodile and Wild Boar. 97,800 hectares in extent, this is the second largest of Sri Lankas National Parks. Its open undulating terrain made it famous for elephants for many years, but recently the park has also received much fame through publicity by National Geographic and the Discovery TV channels, which focused on a leopard research/conservation and identification project. Claims have subsequently been made that Yala National Park has the world's highest concentration of leopard per square kilometre. Vegetation is primarily grassland and shrub jungle with patches of dense growth, while several salt and freshwater lagoons are a haven for a large variety of resident and migrant birds. Areas popular with leopard are rock-strewn hillocks with dense shrub in which the animals hide.

Day 11: Weligama / Galle City Tour / Negombo
After breakfast, transfer to Negombo visiting Galle. En route stop in Weligama to witness the traditional stilt fishermen, offering a unique glimpse into a centuries- old coastal fishing practice.. Galle is one of Sri Lankas most historic and picturesque coastal cities, celebrated for its rich colonial legacy and lively seaside charm. Explore the renowned Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site originally built by
the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch, featuring cobblestone streets, boutique cafs, museums, art galleries, and beautifully preserved colonial-era architecture. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the fort and old town, taking in its unique blend of history, coastal scenery, and cultural landmarks. After completion and spending time in Galle, continue to Negombo.
